My First Ever Geomancy Reading
This was the first ever geomancy reading I casted 3 months ago, around 17 May 2025. Here is a copy of what I posted to the Hermetic House of Life Discord server.
First ever geomancy reading!
Background: My girlfriend decided to go to a boardgame cafe to play boardgames with some strangers after seeing a post on social media. She hasn't gone out the whole day beforehand.
I figured that waiting the next day to do a daily reading was me avoiding practicing geomancy for the first time so I decided this was a good question to go for. I'm also slightly concerned she wouldn't have a good time there.
Method of Generation: Wrote down the numbers 1 to 16 vertically on a piece of paper. Then I repeatedly do dashes over and over again, stopping when it feels right. Then I cut the dashes two at a time so I get either a single dash or two dashes at the end.
Interpretation:
Judge and Witnesses Via as Judge seems favorable. I would imagine she desires change of some sort and since change is desirable here, it's considered favourable
Acquisitio as Right Witness seems favourable. She has high enthusiasm and drive for wanting to go to this event.
Amissio as Left Witness signifies Loss, which to me signifies a favourable sign if I interpret as a loss of loneliness/boredom. Unfavourable sign if a loss of time (?).
Way of the Points To figure out the root cause of her decision to go, through the Way of the Points I discover Via as the 3rd Daughter. This signifies her wanting change in her circumstances.
Sentence The Sentence is Tristitia, which is an unfavourable sign. It signifies disappointment, not achieving one's expectation.
Conclusion Her desire to go to this event was to desire change in her day. She was enthusiastic and ready to go. At the boardgame cafe a shift or change occurs, which is positive. After the event, she perceives it to be either a loss of time or a loss of loneliness/boredom.
She will feel a sense of disappointment afterwards, perhaps they badger her to keep going or the people there were not as great as she expected.
